Established in 1962, the Youth Science Center (YSC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving math and science education. They have offered an essay contest to San Gabriel Valley students to promote their dedication to youth achieving in math and science education. This year, Jackie Zamora, won the essay contest for her essay entitled, "STEM: Planetary Geologist". Jackie and two family members have been invited to an awards dinner gala on October 25 where Jackie will have a chance to say a few words about her essay, receive a certificate, and a personal check for $300! Congratulations Jackie!
