If you have a math or science question on homework or if you want some help studying for a test, you can call the Harvey Mudd Homework Hotline and speak to a tutor over the phone. Call Sun-Thurs 6-10 p.m.1-877-ASK-HMC (1-877-827-5462)
- What do you need during a tutoring session: homework assignment, textbook, paper, pencil/pen, and calculator.
- During the phone call the homework hotline tutor will guide the student caller with guiding questions and encourage the students to be an active participant in his/her learning. The tutor will use the student's prior knowledge and encourage the student to use all available resources first. The tutor will also invite the student to write down procedural steps in his/her own words to help him/her solve other similar problems on his/her own.
