This video is to help with understanding how to add and subtract integers. There are many different methods. Pick the one that works for you .

alright we'll see if we're good to go here so our objective here is that everybody should know how to when's tract integers are negative and positive numbers by time you get down here and you should be able to not be afraid double shot  take a look at this step number one just follow these steps in you'll have it it's just look to see where look for B2 signs next to each other what are signs plus and minus to each other so we take a look right here and we look to see where we can find it we find that oh here's a sign is it next to another sign no is a number in between it so we're not going to worry about we look at the very next place there's signs here's the sign the sign the right next to each other  so let's take a look at the rule the rule says if they're the same sign change both of them to just add if they're two different signs change it to subtraction well take a look right here plus ones they don't get along they hate so we are going to change this to a negative situation which is negative what do we have left up here we have negative 5  and there's no sign left up here to deal with and we have seven last we're going to be right just that part of it let's take a look at the next one is it next another sign nope so we can sign here's a sign are they next to each other so let's take a look at it it's in negative and negative  are they the same sign are they different signs it's a negative and negative you said negative hello there  the same sign so it's take it down break that down it's going to be a positive situation does the same sign we go back now yeah I know you guys don't want to go back and rewrite it but you need to go back and rewrite the problem whatever is left is bringing straight hung 5  bring down your for and why you don't step on now what looks a little more simple doesn't it call Morrison  Now we move on to our next step next steps is combine the two numbers big one on top little One on bottom alright here's the way this works take the big one  the big one we're only going to look at just the numbers so it's Life in Seven absolute numbers when you just like that 5 is smaller so we put the big one on top the little and bottom  then now we got to go on to the next step the rule says that same signs we add the two numbers different signs we subtract the two numbers well that sounds real similar to that rule up there so we take a look at the signs a negative number so it's not next to it and we have negative right here so what are the two signs between it looks like negative and negative so there what's the same sign so happy situation with same sign we're going to add these two we're going to marry them there you go 7 plus 512  well now we have to go back whoops we're not step for you let's do this problem over here next to take a look at this problem over here  we're going to take a look at big boy first thing says put the big one on top 05 is big one little one is for  and now we got to figure out if I'm going to add or subtract do we go to look at their signs take a look at their signs we have one that's negative one is positive bad situation different signs is right down here two different signs means we have to subtract our problem so  let's turn this into a subtraction problem 5 - 4  good job now I'm still on what do we have anything left is that the answer not quite easy people there's one last one step in as real easy step  keep cheap the song who are the top number what sign did 7 have that's pretty cool I'm pretty easy you just got to look at the big one so it's look at this out of problem you're the big number was 5 to take a look at 5 what was it is that what was the V sign or looking right here at 5  so what sign did have it had negative so guess what this is going to be  is it going to be a negative one Wawa you are done in yes there are other ways and other methods to do this in this is just one method in solving thank you
