Physical Education 7/8 - Ousley

Course Description

PE 7/8

March 16 - March 27  (Home School)

Hello! Our goal throughout your time at home is to remain active and focused on your health. For these next two weeks, please keep a journal logging your daily physical activities and food & water intake. Your goal is to participate in any form of meaningful physical activity for a period of 45 minutes each day. Physical activities include, running, walking, jump roping, yoga, basketball, biking, etc.. We will be pretty flexible  with the type of activity just as long as you're engaged in some meaningful form of physical activity. In addition to logging your physical activities, please keep a health log of what you are consuming an your activity. It is important during this time to maintain a healthy diet in order to promote optimal health. Be conscious about what you are feeding your body. Make sure to eat lots of fruit and veggies. Limit processed, sugary foods. Drink lots of water. Here are a few websites explaining the importance of what you eat and how it impacts your body.

When you return to school, you will be expected to turn in your journal documenting 10 days (March 18- 27) of physical activity, food, and water consumption. At the end of each week, write a one-paragraph journal entry reflecting about your week and overall health/fitness (How do you feel? Did you make any changes to your diet and see a positive impact? etc). You will need to turn in a total of two paragraphs for the time you are logging your habits. You will also turn in your health journal documenting your 10 day journey (March 18-27).
