8th Grade Student wins the Youth Science Center STEM essay contest

The Youth Science Center (YSC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving math and science education. This essay contest was for girls ages 8-17 to help promote enthusiasm for future careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). Our very own 8th grader, Tiffany Chan, was the middle school winner of this year's essay contest. She will receive a certificate worth $300 to attend a dinner gala with two guests on November 10 at the Pacific Palms. Tiffany will also receive a cash prize.

Tiffany wrote her essay on her decision to study and make an impact on the fight against cancer.

Congratulations Tiffany!
