Another busy school year is soon coming to a close. We hope everyone enjoyed Open House last week and all the work your students completed throughout the year. Chick-fil-A dinner was also delicious, wasn’t it?
We finished our CST testing and are awaiting the scores. We were also one of three schools in Rowland Unified to pilot the Smarter Balance Assessment Consortium (Common Core) test for sixth and seventh graders, which will give us a preview of what this test will be like when it rolls out nationwide in 2015.
We will be “putting the cap” on the school year on June 6th, and many fun events will be taking place in the next two weeks: Field Day for Grades 1-3, Country Fair for Grades 4-6, and, of course, the BBQ and Dance for Seventh and Eighth Graders. On the evening of June 5th awards will be given to our Seventh and Eighth Graders as well as certificates of promotion for those leaving the 8th Grade and moving on to High School. We wish them all the best!
Many Thanks again to our wonderful Oswalt parents and families for their continued support and hard work which made our school year so successful. Have a safe and happy Eagle Summer and we’ll see you back here on August 19th for the beginning of our new school year!
