Katie Auyeung is Oswalt's 5th eight grade student to be awarded the middle schools STEM essay contest winner held by the Youth Science Center. This year's essay was about how to find and use STEM at home. Katie's essay on an Outdoor Remote Controlled Leaf Vacuum won her a dinner with her family at an awards dinner hosted by the Youth Science Center at the Friendly Hills Country Club in Whittier. Katie was recognized and received a check for $300!
